Android tablet-specific apps will be featured more often in Google Play, Android has been criticized for not having enough tablet-specific apps, something never said about its top competitor in Apple's iOS and iPads. In a series of upgrades to the Google Play web store, Google will add new highlights for tablet apps.
There are already recommended sections for tablets, but Google Play executive Chris Yerga announced today that the Play store will soon make adjustments to highlight more apps built for tablets or have screens properly designed to scale to larger devices. The updates will roll out in coming weeks.
